I think I'm all set up here. Haven't messed with icons or anything, but I coded up my user info a little and used this VERY helpful tutorial to slap a Mixit theme from thefulcrum up. xancredible also linked me to the DW-Discuss mailing list and it's been pretty informative. SO YAY.

I kinda want to clarify, if only for myself, what I'm gonna do with this journal. Also? I kinda wanna test out the layout, so!

• I'm not going to be importing my LJ to here. This is new, fresh, clean - and I like it that way. Plus, most people are already on my LJ and they can poke around there, if they want, at will. It just doesn't make sense to me to move everything here.
  
  
• I probably won't be cross-posting much, either. I just feel like it's spam - if it's like: OMG LOOK WHAT THOSE DORKTASTC-CUTE BOYS DID, then yes. But I want to keep this and LJ separate, if only for myself. This could totally change though, we'll see.
  
  
• Even though it sounds like DW might be a safer place for 'racy' materials, I'm only gonna post fic to LJ. Might link back-forth, might not. Again, I don't know.
  
  
• I'm HOPEFULLY not going to ever have to lock my posts here. This is really the big draw of DW for me: my family knows my LJ address - and I'm pretty sure they check up on it occasionally. So there's no point in hiding the fic now, but my daily posts? They somehow feel more private - and sometimes I wonder if they've managed to even bypass LJ's flocking. So I'm hoping to keep this VERY separate, but still feel able to be free and myself, you know? That's part of the reason I toyed with a completely different user name.

That's really all I've got right now. I'm really excited to see how this place goes; I think it's neat as hell to see people working so hard to build it into what they desire. The voyeur in my loves it.
